Welcome!

Thank you for visiting!  Dakota Gardeners garden club in Minnesota welcomes new members whether one has a casual interest in, or a deep passion for, plants and education.

MISSION:  To promote and advance the art and science of horticulture in the State of Minnesota and particularly Dakota County, to assist people who desire help and information in horticulture, and to present speakers and teachers in horticulture and related subjects for the purpose of expanding the members’ knowledge and skills.​​

Monthly Meetings

We have guest speakers/workshops September - November and January - April.  Our Perennials sale fundraiser is in May.  In December we have a Holiday Party and you are welcome to bring a guest.  Check the calendar page for speaker topics and details.

Summer Garden Tours

During the months of June, July, and August we tour local gardens.  Most of the tours are self driving or carpooling.  Every 2-3 years we try to have a bus tour out of the Twin City area. At the end of the season's last tour, we have a pot luck party.

Membership Benefits

In addition to being part of a gardening community dedicated to learning more about our hobby, each year we have the opportunity to purchase annuals at cost from a grower. We submit order forms in March and pick up our plants in May.

Activities

We have several committees that provide everyone the opportunity to help make the club a great experience. They include Annual Plants, Holiday Party,  Perennial Sale (our only fund raiser), Scholarship, Publicity, and Summer Garden Tours.
